Day 12 - PST

Had some time to check out Panama City today and walk around on our own. After we found the important places - hospital, lab, hotel, etc. - we checked out the downtown. We found the old part where the French first built up. It is really pretty and there is a ton of wealth there. I forgot my camera cord, but I will upload the pictures next time I get a computer.

On Saturday we had machete training, got to go on a walk through the woods, and learn how ot make a compost pile - becuase the soil here lacks nutrients such as nitrogen, potassium and phosphates. Hacking up stuff with a giant sword is as awesome as it sounds. Still have all five fingers (and arms).

I have classes monday through wed but on thursday we get to visit another site.
